Fiber & Underground Utility
BlueOcean Communications · Magellan Group

From a specialist page to a contractor with scale.

We rebuilt BlueOcean’s website and visual communication, connected its B2B form straight to the company CRM, and launched an exclusive careers site with an admin area run entirely by HR.

The client

A multi-state contractor with a long track record.

BlueOcean Communications is a fiber and utility construction contractor in the Magellan Group: directional drilling, conduit, cable placement and restoration, self-performed by its own crews across multiple states.
The numbers above are the ones the new site leads with. The old site said almost none of this.

The challenge

Sold as a niche, built as a contractor.

The previous site introduced the company as an underground and fiber specialist, in a few pages with a big photo. That undersold a company that mobilizes crews at scale, and it gave no structured way for inquiries or applications to arrive.

  • Positioned as a narrow specialist, not a multi-state contractor
  • A generic contact page with no direct line into the CRM
  • No place for candidates to apply for crew jobs
  • A visual identity that did not match the company’s size

The work was already large. The site needed to show scale, and to turn every inquiry and every applicant into something the team could act on.

The strategy

Show the scale, then wire the doors.

We rebuilt the message around the company’s strongest idea — built on experience, proven in the field — and then connected the two doors people knock on: business inquiries and job applications.

Pillar 01

A contractor’s website

A new site and visual communication built around track record, capabilities, industries and projects, in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Pillar 02

Two connected doors

A B2B form that lands directly in the CRM, and a careers site whose openings and applications are managed by the HR team.

Execution — what you see

Fiber infrastructure at scale.

The new site opens with the message the company earned: fiber infrastructure at scale, delivered end to end by experienced crews. A clean light layout, a clear menu — Company, Services, Fiber, Industries, Projects, Capabilities, Safety — and a single call to action to talk with the team.

Geometric, rounded type

Lowercase letters with even strokes give the mark a clean, technical look.

Two blues, black and white

A bright cyan for the brand and a light blue for support. It works on light and dark backgrounds.

A network of nodes

The symbol is a set of connected points, the same idea the whole identity keeps.

Execution — what you don't

A form that lands in the CRM, and a hiring site run by HR.

Behind the site, the contact form sends every B2B inquiry directly into the company CRM, so no lead depends on someone copying an email.

A separate, exclusive careers site lets candidates apply for the jobs the company publishes. The admin area is 100% administered by BlueOcean’s HR staff, who post openings and follow applications without a developer.
